Vesterbro in the 1980s

Vesterbro is a high-end and very desirable neighborhood in the center of Copenhagen. But it wasn't always like that. When I lived there in the 1980s it was a poor working-class area that contained the red-light district and went through huge changes due to massive renovations and changes in demographics. Only when I recently went through my old negatives did I realize that they describe a pivotal time in the history of the city.
